Novel Review: Life of Pi by Yann Martel
A religious intoxication of survival, a story of hope, a testament to the fortitude of willpower. Although childish at times, this doesn’t take from the gruesome reality of “any means necessary.” Beautifully rendered, Martel has triumphed.
Introspection abounds, and the thoughts of Pi become our own, questioning our doubt then doubting our questions. We’re led through beauty as only a survivor could show us. A survivor of body, mind, and spirit.
